🔑 Day 1: LIVE - The Unifi Ecosystem!
We’ll kick off the Bootcamp by stepping back and looking at the Network and Camera UniFi ecosystem so you can gain a better understanding how everything fits together. Instead of jumping straight into VLANs or Firewall Rules, Day 1 is all about getting comfortable with the UniFi world — the consoles, the applications, the devices, and how they all work as one unified system.
✂️ Day 2: LIVE - Segmenting your network with VLANs - the smart way.
VLANs, VLANs & VLANs — Learn how to properly segment your network to boost security while keeping it easy to manage. You’ll discover how to set up VLANs correctly across both wired and Wi-Fi networks to protect against less secure IoT devices like smart TVs, Alexa speakers and smart appliances by isolating them from your main computers and phones. We will also talk through where your camera NVR fits into the mix.
🔒 Day 3: LIVE - Securing your Network with Firewall Rules and Object Rules
This is the step that scares most people — but not after today. By the end of this session, you’ll see just how easy it can be to secure your network using zone-based firewall policies, object rules, or a combination of both. We’ll roll up our sleeves and build real rules together to lock down your network and keep the bad guys out.
🔔 Day 4: LIVE - Alerting and Optimization
You’ve built it — now it’s time to make it shine. On our final day, we’ll fine-tune your network with key optimization settings to keep everything running smooth, fast, and reliable. We’ll also set up network notifications and UniFi Protect alarms so your system keeps working for you — and alerts you the moment something needs your attention.
